YAY

aghblaghagh summer.
NO YOU GUYS. I'VE BEEN SO EXCITED TO SHOW YOU THIS.

THIS IS CALLED
THAT FANFIC THING THAT I COULD NEVER TURN ORIGINAL ONLY EXCEPT I FINALLY MADE IT ORIGINAL.
Basically inspired by watching a shit ton of avatar (the cartoon), some of egriz's art, and a world concept we came up with in game design club last year. It's, like fantasy victorian-y era religious-y tribal-y crap with people from the moon and crazy monsters and shit. And all these characters that I love. c:

YAY LOOK AT THEM IN UNIFORMS DESIGNED BY PEOPLE WHO ARE ME. Actually they're designed by me stealing uniforms from the civil war, and also WWI a bit, but it's still better than drawing Namco's.

Sant and Picco are actually pretty much the same now. They're still captains or something and they still are ambitions bitches or spacey religious weirdos, respectively.

The point of their nameless army group is to make a city for their fellow elfy people, basically. Except they're not really elves, they're moon people. eeeeeee.

Unifoooorms.
Basically one day I'm sitting around thinking about these characters in their setting at the time (which was more medieval high fantasy-y) and suddenly I'm like "wait, why don't I give them guns?". Yessss.

A bunch of (scribbly unrecognizable) Kates, because he's the one I test uniforms on. c: He's pretty much the same too except the story doesn't really arc the same way it used to so he becomes less pathetic and more important. Also his romance somehow gets weirder.

Fffffell that doctor kid.
I don't know why I'm constantly most proud of the medic's costume, but I guess I am.
Fell hasn't changed so much as he's gotten more refined. Er, he's more sarcastic, less mary sue ish, more homo, more of a badass, more opinionated, more flawed basically... but still the same cutesy nice guy at his core.
unf costumes

Ainsley's gone through the most changes, I think, because I really wanted to keep him in and I really wanted to keep the traitor thing part of his role, but the organizations that were really important to that in the fanstory were lost. ANYWAY what he ended up being was some heavily jedi-inspired warrior priest thing. They're important to the religion, but more important as war starters/enders and city controllers and political figures. Unfortunately for most of the characters in this story, they're on the other side of the plotconflict.

Uhh also fell is in here gaying things up.

Oh gosh look at that war paint.
Also some other character doodles.

I've been flipping out over this for, like, half of the summer, but haven't come up with anything really concrete to show for it. I really want to get these guys rolling. But for now, here's what I've been into when not drawing comics/doing homework/doing homework.

An interesting note: it seems that, despite my long time belief that my favorite stories take place in the modern, rl world, my two "main", favorite stories are in crazy, sci-fi fantasy worlds. That's probably for the best. Keeps me from drawing hoodies and jeans all the time. :D
