I might be jinxing myself by putting this here, seeing as how... any time I put a wip online, I never end up finishing it. BUT IT'S VERY CHARACTER-BASED and I want it here so I have an excuse to blab more. Also I'm tired of working on it now. Also I have also never made such progress on a lineup before so. CB

Anyway, main characters. Er. If Ishmael counts as a main character then Shaun might as well but I like Iggy a lot more than Shaun. So.

Holy shit they're all short. Left to right:

Ishmael: "Lackey". He's Jin's right-hand-bro and also occasionally they make out. He's twenty-three and five foot even (yes, he knows) and also eats people. He steals super powers by... eating pieces of people... although he usually just eats whatever dead bodies he can get a hold of which means they're ususally not super and he usually gets near-sightedness or irritability or something. Also he once ate his dad and this gave him super strength. \o/ He's intelligent, meaning he memorized the periodic table of elements and speaks four or so languages, and he's dumb, meaning he's been known to get into cars with strangers and not notice when people want to kill each other. He's the plan guy, not the idea guy.

Tee: "Asshole sidekick". Wanders around with Elli and Pippin helping them out sometimes but usually just sitting around whining or making fun of them. He's six foot and nineteen or so. He's blind but also sees the future, and is very very good at it. He can pretty much see whatever he wants, if he focuses right, although his future is based on choices and is very very changeable and not concrete at all. He's lazy and irritable and unfriendly, but he can be helpful and occasionally even give a shit. He's seen the end of the world four times.

Elli: "Hero". Drops out of high school to try and bring down terrorists with Pippin and Tee. He's sixteen and five nine and has a very noobish control of electricity. He has a pocket knife on a length of wire that he flings around to zap with. He's awkward and shy and has some self-esteem issues, but under all this he's actually quite a stubborn idealist. He's a closet pokemon fanatic.

Constantine: "Villain". An angry psychopathic pyromanic preteen. He's four ten or so and twelve or thirteen. He can light shit on fire with his fucking mind, which is filled with rage and he is slightly out of. He was kidnapped and "raised" quite poorly, by the way, which is the reasoning behind his unhappiness and interest in lighting people on fire. He was born in Quebec.

Pippin: "Loving sidekick". Elli's super duper bff and hater of Tee, third part of the main trio. Is five foot two and eighteen and super strong. Had a goofy mother who "trained" her to save the world since she was little. This means she is quite prepared to kick any villain ass that comes her way, although she tends to kick ass first and ask questions later, which nearly gets Elli killed before they become bffs. She's friendly and silly. Is a lesbian, was a cheerleader.

Jin: "Anti-hero". Terrorist leader and mega idealist like woah. She's five seven and is twenty five, I think. She heals quickly and from pretty much anything, which makes her rather tough to kill which has come in VERY handy. She's pretty single-minded and very good at convincing people to her side. She DID group pretty much every super powered bro in the country into one teamthing. A bit radical. Also a bit socially dumb. She gets ill REALLY easily.

I'm working on revamping this story, HOPEFULLY for the last time. You may notice I've given Jin a pronoun... if you care, her issues with gender are still there, but I won't be bringing them up much at all because... they've become totally irrelevant. Other things are I put Elli's mom in prison and finally abandoned Tee's haircut and inserted some logic into Iggy's existence.

We're getting there.

ANYWAY A MEME FOR PLOTS. From DeviantArt, blank is here. Actually, it was really mostly for characters within the story, not so much the story itself. I guess I may have answered some questions wrong... oh well. In searching for the blank I found one that is totally better that I wish I'd done. FAILBOAT.

THIS PLOT HAS NO NAME yet. Been waiting for inspiration to strike. For like three years. ffff. But it's about superheroes and terrorists. In a nutshell. And I do love nutshells. 8D

If you're someone who's watched my da for a while... or if I've explained this to you (i think that's just janet, actually...) you'll notice that Jin got promoted to second main character, that Ishmael's life got a lot worse, and that I still hate Elli TEE HEE.

I think I'll hold off the explanations till DA. They're only necessary occasionally anyway.

H'okay. So. New guy. Drawing his hair I kept thinking of Elise's Castor, which made me nervous. I guess it's just the hair and the hat, though.

He's really not a new guy... well. He's based of a character who's been haunting my brain for years, but who I've actually never drawn. But, yanno, while drawing him he started creating a totally new plot around himself. I'm not quite sure what he is, yet. Some sort of demonic hell lord thing that no one likes. I do know that he's looking for the... antichrist who isn't actually the antichrist but is... er... yanno, how bout I figure this story out before I try and explain it.

The story is the same as the one that those two dudes are from. It's a lighthearted sort of goofy story about monsters and demons and the end of the world and stuff. And indie bands.

Anyway.

Actually, he's supposed to be one of those no-eyed characters, but in all these heads he's got an eye showing. Heee. Also he doesn't speak, so he rarely opens his mouth, so I put some fangs in there. 8] LOGIC.

Also he also shapeshifts. He's sort of the uber powerful character of this story. I think I'll end up working in some of that old RP character who I didn't get to use much of but fell in love with and never was able to fit anywhere else. :> Here he is harassing Atticus. But as a bird. My eraser smudged Att's eye, so I bruised it. Tee hee.

The text is me playing with a way of showing him talking with his brain versus his mouth.

Regardless of what I end up doing with this character, he's fun as hell to draw.

There are three people following this blog. I'm not positive what that means. So, I still work under the assumption that everything going on here is for the audience of me and myself. I kind of prefer that, really. I do enjoy talking to myself.

But not about myself. Let's get back to the fiction, yeah?

IRL I hear it pronounced mee mee or may may, but wiki ways its pronounced meeeeem. Oh the confusion.

Put some of this on my da journal a while back, but I did a bunch more. SUPERKIDS. This is actually, in retrospect, and pretty good overview of

all the main characters. :>

The word file that contains all the memes about the superkids is mostly outdated, which is kinda sad. I gotta get my new ideas down on paper. And by paper, I mean a word file.

Ellis R Irving

1) AAAHH I searched forever for his name. He was a Mike for a while, but I abandoned him for a time and when I came back that name had been taken. We read that holocaust book in tenth grade, and the author went by "Elli" and I liked that but STILL had to search for a full name cuz Elliot didn't fit him (and, yeah, neither did the author's). Finally stuck with Ellis, unsure if it was a real name, and then read Atlas Shrugged and found it it was! 8D

2) Needed a main character. He was one of the last to be created, too. Never do that. Never create a character for a story. Create a story for a character. I'm still struggling with him.

3) He's been gradually attaining a personality. I recently made his past a little less bloohoo and a little more, uh, realistic. Still working on that, though. I still don't know how he's going to end. Appearance-wise, though, he hasn't changed at all from the first "official" sketch I did of him.

4) He likes basketball but dislikes his haircut. His grandparents got deported back to south america HA HA. He gets his Altered genes from his dad.

Pippin J Daniels

1) Good Omens. It was only used once, the girl went by Pepper I think. Anyway, I'm like THAT'S A NAME? YES.

2) The trio of main characters was kinda formed before there were actual characters in it. So, she was the lady and the side before I actually created her. She was gay before that, as well. As I recall. This was simply to keep myself from making her a hermione to Tee's ron.

3) Not much, actually. Pretty much everything she started with, I've kept. She's really supposed to a lighthearted, likable secondary character. Not too serious, thus I haven't felt the need to change her too much. I... made her a cheerleader, I guess.

4) She wore the dress to her prom; her date wore the tux. She wasn't a cheerleader her senior year, and this made her sad. She's not the responsible one of the group. She gets her Altered genes from her dad... who she's never met

Terrance "Tee" M South

1) A placeholder... T because we read "Antigone" in tenth grade and there was a blind prophet who's name was... something that started with a T... and I'm like OOOH I'LL SWIPE THAT but couldn't find a name that started with T that I really liked. Still don't like Terrance much BUT HE STICKS WITH T SO IT'S ALL GOOD.

2) All of the trio was created before the actual characters existed. So there was a blind prophet, and then there was Tee.

3) I just deleted this whole question because it was packed with spoilers. I'll just say, A LOT.

4) He has red hair, freckles, and green eyes... but he actually has very little irish in him. He doesn't like music, although his playlist is mostly Incubus. He's an asshole. He also can't see. The present. He gets his Altered genes from his mom.

Jin Sinclaire

1) I... I... I don't remember. Sinclaire just sounded like a villain name to me. I also don't know why she's the only one in the story who I call by their last name. Her first name did come later, aaaaand that just sorta fit. In roleplaying, I think. Salute to Cork.

2) Errr, they also have a long history. Has always been a villian, though. Before there were terrorists in the story, they were just an angry cyborg thing... I think. Was evil for a time, until I put thought into them. Now shares main characterdom with Elli, I think.

3) Yeah, has been becoming a better and better person. As soon as I started putting thought into them they refused to be evil. Really, a perfect example of a character writing themself. Ha ha ha... Something that hasn't changed is they've always had some form of gender issues. Also I believe was always arabic...

4) Apparently I can't decide on which pronoun I want to use for them. Good thing the final work will be visual and not written HA HA. An idealist, and good with rallying/encouraging people, but is also an extreme social retard. Lectures too much. Has an irrational fear of zombies. Gets her Altered genes from her mom... kind of. I have a lot of trouble drawing them on a tablet.

Ishmael M Jarvis

1) It's a name I've always wanted to use. I was reminded of it by my International Issues teacher when she explained religions to us... at the same time my boy was being resurrected. Btw, I totally just made up his middle name right now. Aren't you excited?

2) Ah ha ha ha ha... okay. Okay. So I had this crazy idea for an akuroku fanfiction. It involved some sorta vampire-cannibal-things. Time passed, and I'm like "hey, let's make this original". Then I dropped it 'cuz it was lame. Then I found doodles from it a year or so later, just about the time I was bringing forth new characters for the SOS universe, and he was reborn AGAIN, hopefully for the last time. I really don't remember how he got to be co terrorist leader.

3) Obviously. A lot. He used to be Roxas. Pfft. Then he was still unfriendly and being chased around by a gay high schooler. Then he was a terrorist. Then he got a personality, became naive and intelligent and clueless. The latest change being the JinIggy relationship. I don't remember how that came to be, actually... it just worked, I guess. Really, the only things that haven't changed are he's always eaten people, he's always been strong, and he's always been short.

4) He has a twin sister and a younger sister, who he's pretty sure aren't Altered like him. He's also pretty confident that he has one or more half-siblings, because his dad was a whore. He gets his Altered genes from said whore.

Constantine Zhu

1) Pfft, it's a bitchin' name, guys. OH I REMEMBER from that awful vampire book about the cinnamon rolls (like I said, awful) Janet lent me. That was the vampire's name. They called him Connie at times and that's how I fell in love. Note that my original Constantine was quite a bit older and it fit him at least somewhat better.

2) UHHH I had a dream about him. YEAH REALLY. He was much more sad and friendly then. ...actually, I got Shaun from a dream too. Huh. Anyway, when I woke up and doodled him, I ended up taking that doodle and making Sheremy the zombie HEE HEE. Still, an explosive boy. I think he gave people cancer in the dream. Oh so heroes.

3) But so long as he's been in this story, he's been angry and burning things. Actually, he really has changed very little. His age has changed around numerous times. I'M STICKING WITH THIRTEEN AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO CHANGE IT. Oh, he became chinese. Half. I guess. I only recently realized he's the villain.

4) He calls Shaun “mom” in attempt to be an ass. Mom tries to get him off energy drinks instead of getting him off killing people. He thinks spiders are awesome. He's Canadian... although he hasn't been to said homeland in eleven years. His Altered genes are from his dad. The shoes I draw him in are the ones Ben wore in junior year TEE HEE.

I kill them. All of them.

So when it comes to me and my relationship with my characters, there are two things that I should probably share.
One, I recycle them LIKE CRAZY. AT LEAST fifty percent of my children exist in more than one universe. Usually as side characters, you know, or even just background people who barely exist, but sometimes they can play bigger roles. Sean, for example, is a main character in his own universe and a big ole antihero in another. Oh, and they almost always travel in groups... Seth and Mikey, Jeremy and Tycho, etc. This is just what I do.
And two, I LOVE TO KILL THEM. And this... lead me to evalutation. Of just how likely my kids are to get dead in a new universe. And here it is.



First up, group one. The immortals.

These guys are completely denied the right to die. They always come in pairs, the second being much more likely to die than them. They always live in order for me to make them unhappy.

First, Jeremy, who... actually really IS immortal, and whose immortality I use to break his heart over and over again. :>

Next is Seth. Okay, okay, so I actually do have Seth's death planned... but it doesn't occur until AFTER EVERYBODY HE CARES ABOUT DIES. Seriously, it's like the pinky swear thing. Befriending this boy WILL GET YOU DEAD. <3

Ishmael. Ishmael kills and then hates himself for it. Ishmael's beloved dies. Ishmael's friends betray him. And Mandi makes him live through and beyond the whole thing. >3 (actually, this afternoon I started to ACTUALLY FEEL KIND OF BAD FOR THE POOR KID. I might let him suicide in the end. Considering it.)

And Jim. Weeeell... Jim's just a tool who I refuse to kill until he learns to stand on his own two feet, dammit.

And now group two... the unlikelys.

Well, these guys I keep alive usually but not always, and generally for different reasons than the immortals, who I just love to make miserable. A lot of my characters fit into this category, but I don't think I should mention EVERYONE ._.

Tee... well, to an extent I keep him alive to feel guilty about being an asshole. But also I let him live because, generally, he changes and sort of starts over in a less assholey life.

Claudio can play two roles. The strong-hearted victim who keeps on truckin', or the martyr. Usually I like the former, though, because it makes all the adults he interacts with feel like losers. >3

Pippin is a rare case among my characters. Pippin I keep alive because I like her too much to rid the world of her adorable silliness. That's all. <33

And Killian, even though logically he should be long dead, I keep alive because he's occasionally suicidal, and his reasons are dumb, therefore I won't let him do it right. On the other hand, when he appears in universes besides his own he often plays a sort of filler (a guy who gets eaten by zombies... a kid for when my other gays need something to fuck), and I'm much more willing to kill him then.

Now, we move on to the much more likelies.

These guys? Yeaahhh, I'll probably kill them, unless I can come up with a really really good reason not to. There are many many more in this category as well, but I only listed a few. You may notice, most of them have a friend up in the immortals...

Sean. Because in the end, he always finds himself in a situation where he's completely doomed, at which point he says "NO ONE GETS TO KILL ME BUT ME" and kills himself. :/ Also I have some gorgeous death scenes planned for him in which he gets shot in the head, usually. <33

Siiiinclaire. Is too opinionated and headstrong to ever CHANGE, and therefore must DIE. Usually killed by friends or people they trusted.

Tycho, one of my rare "good people", which will generally get them killed. Leaving behind a very unhappy immortal boyfriend.

And Constantine, who generally learns to trust or to chill or to hate less just hours before his death. Which is frusterating and sad... but also kind of cool because he dies rather happier than he lived. His Shaun I didn't draw, but he'd be up with the likelies.

And, finally...

We have Mikey, who dies in every single universe I put him in. And he's not just in two or three stories. Mikey happens to hold a place in my heart as absolute favorite, and so he's reincarnated EVERYWHERE. Let's see... he's eaten by zombies, hit by a truck, murdered a few times, oh zombie infected and thus shot in the head... Throughout his entire main story, he's only alive in flashbacks.

No, really. He is my favorite.
