DIGI....VOLUTION

I think that's a good way to describe my art progress. Uh.

I would feel like a douche bag putting this on DA. Like. Reposting art. Mega lame. HOWEVER it was interesting for me, and this page is pretty much for all the stuff I don't want on my DA, SOOOO.

I tried to leave out as much Spire stuff as possible but. Like. That was a huge chunk of the year. I'm not sure that I really got much better over that time... well. Wait. I know I got better, I learned a lot of shit. But. The drawings themselves. Didn't change much. Biggest change on that bottom line, aka when I went to art college. Also when I decided to stop using color, apparently.

It bugs me that I had to put AP piece in May, partly cuz I wanted to keep it cartoon-centered, but mostly since I'm pretty sure I didn't draw it in May, but it was all from may in my DA gallery and I don't have any old art in this computer. SO.

THIS DOESNT FIT THE BLOG THEME. ITS NOT CHARACTER STUFF. OH WELL.

Oh. This was supposed to be a height comparison. Sean is kind of short but Nad is waaaaay tall.

Was browsing through vert-is-ninja's gallery today and ended up inspired to make a new guy. I can't tell if the inspiration is obvious or not yet...

Characters who I need to invent are like people with different body types than scrawny male and ladies, but I was in the zone so I ignored that and drew what I felt like (always scrawny men).

Ended up with this.

Still not sure what he's gonna do. I'm toying with a couple different roles he could fill up in Sean's universe. (I don't like putting people in that universe though cuz it still has no plot waaaaahh). I don't feel like I can name him until I figure out where he's gonna go. AHHH ANOTHER POST WITH NO LABEL.

I'm pretty confident that he is not upset about whatever happened to that face. Also I am so a fan of that overbite.

Also also his theme song is Poker Face. I've never seen that video till now, and I think it just makes this all better.

I'm writing a blog post to wake up as I await Emily's animation.

Here's some Jeremy heads. I been thinking about entering him in an OCT. Because. I am a masochist.

I guess I won't reveal too much, considering I'm not really confidant in my plan atm, but here's a few hints of what may be to come:

So, anyway, been practicing expressions. Which also very much helps getting his face and all down. (it was doing this face meme that I fell in love with Sean's face, sooooo...)

I actually am not too sure about that fierce face. He doesn't really have the balls for that much fierce. Maybe when he was new to the vampire thing, but... that was several decades ago. *ponders away*

I've been drawing him in this black peacoat with a black scarf and black skinny jeans since I randomly dropped him into that zompocalypse universe. He ate people and wore duct tape rolls as bracelets. And had a scarf and a peacoat. CB I was actually really fond of him in that universe.

He actually looks quite a bit different then when I first drew him, huh? Looks older. Everyone looks older. Actually. Since this tournament would take place later in his life than bridgeport, I guess he SHOULD look older.

Anyway, broken up cuz I figured blogger could handle it better. :/ shrug.

STILL NOT SURE I'MA ENTER SO DON'T WORRY GUYS. But it'd be a nice way to do something with him. I wonder... what this will do to his standing in Bridgeport...?

So. Like. I could be working on my drawing homework. But. I'm not really feeling it. And, generally when I don't feel like doing homework, I WRITE A BLOG POST. \o/

Heeee~~ been drawing with pens, lately. I got a skinny one and now I'm ink-happy. CB

So I drew a page full of Seans moving without restricting myself with things like logic or physics (because that's pretty much the definition of easy drawing for me) and then inked a bunch of them. EXCITEMENT.

I think the city I drew for drawing class is going to be where Sean and Jim live. There's Sean jumping off a building with a lightsaber. Fuck. Yeah.

AND NOW FOR THE FANCHARACTERS

They won't leave me alone as of late. I really gotta do something with them. Maybe a comic. Somehow I think I can motivate myself better to drawing a comic than to writing a fic. Plus. It's more worthwhile.

Anyway, a page of Elles. Was inspired by listening to Flogging Molly, tee hee hee. The one at the top with the floppy hair is him when he was younger... like, thirty I think?... with his GIRLFRIEND. Who dumps him cuz he's a coward HA HA.

Still gotta work on drawing him properly.

Aaaand here's some first sketches of some characters. Carnet's the lady with the proportions that don't make sense because I can't draw women. She... in her preDesian days lead a gang-thing of half-elf ladies. The sketchychibi girlies on top are some of her ex-followers/fangirls.

And the dude at the bottom is a very very first sketch of her boyfriend, who's name is Ayres and who is not nearly as badass as Carnet is. He was not a gang leader. In fact, I'm not even sure he even ever lived with humans. Hang on. I'll check. Oh. Lawl. He's from the same half-elf town as Elles. He's also quite old. SO LIKE I WROTE DOWN HOW OLD EVERYONE WAS AND WHERE THEY CAME FROM DON'T LAUGH AT ME. I like making up half-elf ages because they can pretty much be whatever the fuck I want. :>

Gotta learn to draw the Grand Cardinals if I'm gonna make a comic about Desians. Kvar's become the most fun, although I'm still not quite happy. I'd think he'd be in it most, seeing as how all the main characters are from his ranch, but he... dies. :/ Dammit, Lloyd.

I guess Forcystus will do the most. His hair irritates me... i liked the drawing so much better without the hair. xD Annnnd yeah Rodyle and Magnius won't be in it much at all. Magnius dies elsewhere in the first chapter. Dunno bout Pronyma, but I RUHEALLY need to learn to draw her properly. ffffailboat.

Nrrr I still don't really feel like drawing. Nrgh. Ngh. Nugh. FFFF.

I guess I may have answered some questions wrong... oh well. In searching for the blank I found one that is totally better that I wish I'd done. FAILBOAT.

THIS PLOT HAS NO NAME yet. Been waiting for inspiration to strike. For like three years. ffff. But it's about superheroes and terrorists. In a nutshell. And I do love nutshells. 8D

If you're someone who's watched my da for a while... or if I've explained this to you (i think that's just janet, actually...) you'll notice that Jin got promoted to second main character, that Ishmael's life got a lot worse, and that I still hate Elli TEE HEE.

I think I'll hold off the explanations till DA. They're only necessary occasionally anyway.

Okay. So the story is about a bunch of unknown bands touring the country that end up getting tangled up in a mess of demons and vampires and monsters and what have you, possibly involving the end of the world. It's also meant to be a lighthearted sort of dark comedy. Since I know very little about mythology and the apocalypse and basically nothing about music, I should probably research some before I get to deep into it. :I

Anyway, I think Atticus has become kind of the main character. Which I guess makes his band Huckabilly-17 kind of the main group? They've got a close second, and then a mess of lesser characters.

But, yanno, can't develop plot till you've got great characters. Finally wrote 17's drummer and NOW. NOW THEY ARE COMPLETE

At the moment I like Tango best because his face is SO MUCH FUN TO DRAW. Also just designed him so he's new which is also fun.

And Huck needs the most work. :/ Drawn him, like, three times. This pic makes him look like my speech teacher from last year, for some reason... which is weird.

Er. And Atticus is golden. He's been a character since, like, middle school.

ANYWAY MORE TANGOS

Let's see. Tango. His full name is Sang-Ho Lim (he's a fucking american, here we put first names first), and the nickname Tango is because his white boy bandmates (read: white chick creator) prefer to mispronounce it a bit. He really was born in the US. He's the oldest but doesn't act like it. Still has that rebel complex that kept him from going to college back when pretty bad. Likes partying. But is still a mega dork. Has the most formal education in music of the band. Has a pet birdy that he leaves with Atticus' mom and calls too often. :I Likes experimenting with every kind of instrument. Att and Huck came to Wyoming to recruit him after becoming bffs over the internet. Is twenty three and five foot seven, which makes him pretty small beside his bandmates. Has had a mohawk thing for, like, five years. FFF random facts are random.

Still not sure where this story is going, but I like it. It's also the only universe where (so far) Mikey exists but doesn't die. \o/

Okay. Now I really need to write that paper. BACK TO HOMEWORKLAND
